PRIVACY POLICY
This is the privacy policy for the MOLTYN website at moltyn.io, operated by Hingston Capital Pty Ltd ("we", "us"), an Australian company. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. The short version: this is a static promotional site and we collect almost nothing.
What we collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and timestamps. These are used only to operate and secure the site, and are retained only as long as the host's standard log rotation keeps them.
Email you send us. If you contact us (for example at andrew@moltyn.io), we receive whatever you choose to send, and we use it to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list without asking.
Nothing else. The site does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, accounts or contact forms. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
Steam
Wishlisting or buying MOLTYN happens on Steam, which is operated by Valve Corporation under its own privacy policy. We receive no personal information about you from Valve, only aggregate statistics (such as total wishlist counts).
The game
MOLTYN is a single-player game. It requires no account and sends us no telemetry. If a future update ever adds an online feature that handles personal information, this policy will be updated before it ships.
Disclosure and storage
We do not sell or trade personal information. Server logs are processed by our hosting provider, whose infrastructure may be located outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to deal only with providers that handle data responsibly. We disclose personal information only if required by law.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you (usually: none beyond any email you have sent), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing andrew@moltyn.io. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
